After extensive renovation, the IMC Expo Centre, aspires to become once again, the melting pot of trading and business activity in the Eastern Mediterranean Region. Located at the iconic IMC building at the entrance of Nicosia, in approximately 18,000m2 of state-of-the-art exhibition and conference space, and equipped with the latest technological facilities and support services of a modern centre, the IMC will not only cover the needs of local business people, but taking advantage of the strategic location of Cyprus at the cross roads of three continents, will also bring together manufacturers, exporters and traders from distant destinations with trade buyers from nearby countries.
The project promoters have established strategic partnerships with other Industry Stakeholders including EuroMed TDS, the Cyprus Chamber Commerce and Industry, the Cyprus Employers Federation, the University of Nicosia as well as other leading Academic Institutions.
There are multiple benefits from the operation of such a Centre to the Cyprus economy. Not only does it offer a modern exhibition centre (a need that became more acute since the termination of the operations of the Cyprus State Fairs Authority) to Businesses in Cyprus but it also renders Cyprus a major regional trading destination, with multiplier effects in other sectors of economic activity such as business tourism.
Furthermore, the operation of the Centre enhances the status of Cyprus, as a regional business hub. The island is an ideal investment gateway to the European Union, as well as a gateway or doorway for investment outside the EU, particularly into Russia, the Middle East, India and China. IMC International Merchandising Centre Ltd
The IMC EXPO CENTRE, is owned and operated by IMC International Merchandising Centre Ltd in strategic partnership with other industry stakeholders including EuroMed TDS, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Cyprus Employers Federation, the University of Nicosia and other leading Academic Institutions.
The project promoters have more than 30 years’ experience in the organisation of international exhibitions and conferences and have a huge network of contacts with major international exhibition organisers as well as export promotion agencies, trade centres and business association and chambers of commerce, enabling them to attract to Cyprus significant international exhibitions as well as commercial buyers from nearby countries.
